– It is very safe to go to the hospital during an emergency. As healthcare workers, one of the things we’re very concerned about right now are people that have chronic medical conditions and they’re not getting treated because of concerns or fears about coronavirus. You need to know our hospitals have worked overtime to make them safe places to come. So our team members wear masks, they wash their hands, our environmental services are cleaning all the rooms aggressively, we’re screening patients as they come in for symptoms of coronavirus, we’re not letting visitors in the building.
It’s an incredibly safe place. And so, we’re very concerned that we have people who are having heart attacks or strokes, and they’re staying at home and not getting the care they need. So just know if you have a chronic health problem that needs to be addressed, or you have an emergency, you definitely need to come see us because those things can get much worse if you don’t come in now, and we’re taking every precaution to make sure that you’re safe when you get here.
