One of the most common skin problem majority of women experience is stretch marks.Stretch marks can happen to anyone if you think that men do not get stretch marks then you’re wrong, even men and children do get stretch marks but its most commonly seen in women. I have received couple of questions from you guys related to stretch marks so what have done is, I have combined all similar kind of questions and I will be answering all of it in this video along with that I will be sharing some simple tips to prevent stretch marks. So What are stretch marks? Stretch marks are actually scars from your skin tearing up as your body grows rapidly they can occur on a range of body parts including buttocks, stomach, breasts, thighs and upper arms.

We get these marks when our weight fluctuates too rapidly this can happen during pregnancy puberty hormonal changes and even stress. Most women experience stretch marks during their pregnancy and there’s nothing to worry these marks and not harmful to you and your baby. I am sorry to say this but the answer is a big no the stretch marks fade overtime and we think that the home remedies have worked out well for us but the fact is that these marks lighten up over years.none of the home remedies will actually help you to permanently get rid of stretch marks however there are certain home remedies which can help to prevent itchiness and will also keep your skin well moisturized in my next video I will be sharing a few of these. Yes there are a lot of clinical treatments like laser therapy , cosmetic surgery ,chemical peeling but these are very expensive and not all can go for it also these kinds of treatments are not recommended during pregnancy it may not be safe for you and your baby and for others who wish to go for these treatments be aware that the appearance of stretch marks is considered as a Cosmetic issue so your insurance policy may not cover all the expenses related to it.

All I can tell you is Do not panic finding a stretch mark on any part of your body does not mean that they will stay there forever accept the fact that stretch marks are very common and they pose no long term health risks. All the home remedies and treatments are only intended to improve your self image.The stretch marks that you get during the pregnancy become considerably less noticeable about 6 to 12 months after childbirth even the pigmentation will go away so you don’t have to worry Prevention is always better than cure so to prevent stretch marks I will be sharing some simple tips .These tips may not work always because you never know you when you will get them but it will definitely prevent them from getting worse the tips I’m going to share it’s not just for pregnant women whoever is dealing with stretch marks can follow it. The moment you see stretch marks on your skin start working on it this way you can minimise their appearance the best thing you can do for this is to keep your skin well moisturised. When your skin is dry you are more likely to get stretch marks for moisturising you can use natural oils applying this two to three times a day will definitely help if you’re using creams and lotions try to opt for Botanical products during my pregnancy I didn’t get any stretch marks but my doctor had prescribed bio oil it is very safe to use during pregnancy you can try it out.

When your weight fluctuates rapidly you are at higher risk of getting stretch marks so always aim for slow and healthy weight loss or weight gain process also during pregnancy to avoid Rapid weight gain you should do prenatal yoga ,swimming and walking.Also avoid crash dieting because it lacks all the essential nutrients when you do crash dieting your skin may appear really dry and it may also lose its elasticity. Water is a miracle drink to your body increase your water and fluid intake especially if your pregnant a minimum of 10 glasses is recommended per day even if your not expecting increase your water intake to avoid stretch marks. Include a lot of Vitamin A ,Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants in your diet these are very essential to keep your skin nourished and protected. Collagen is the main structural protein found in our skin, this protein is very essential to keep our skin strong and Elastic collagen also prevent wrinkles and stretch marks so include a lot of collagen boosting foods in your diet like Chia seeds,avocados, berries, garlic, soy and citrus fruits.

Maintain healthy levels of vitamin D to prevent stretch marks you can do this by exposing yourself to the sun early morning sunlight is very good for your skin other than this you can get vitamin D from your food Natural ingredients are particularly very important especially if your pregnant finding a lotion which is all safe and natural should be your top priority when you’re expecting so always look for Botanical products and search for ingredients like cocoa butter, aloe vera and Vitamin E. Before you purchase a cream or lotion always check the packaging to see the ingredients list for expecting mothers to ensure that the product you use is safe consult your doctor before using it. Zinc is another essential nutrient for a healthy skin it helps to reduce inflammation and also helps in quick healing so include a lot of zinc rich foods in your diet like Pumpkin seeds ,watermelon seeds, dark chocolate, garlic, butternut squash and wheat germ.
